Install on MotiveWave

quantedOptions Profile on your MotiveWave charts. About ten minutes.

Before you start

MotiveWave 7 or newer, any edition including the free Community edition. The MotiveWave Extensions folder is in your home folder — Windows C:\Users\<your name>\MotiveWave Extensions, macOS ~/MotiveWave Extensions. MotiveWave creates it the first time it runs.

Install

Sign in at your Orderflow Plugin page and download quantedoptions_profile_mw.jar. The page lists the platforms on your plan and shows your API key.
Close MotiveWave.
Copy quantedoptions_profile_mw.jar into the MotiveWave Extensions folder.
A subfolder is fine too. If you replace an older version, delete the old jar.
Start MotiveWave and open a chart for ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, RTY, M2K, YM, MYM, GC or MGC.
Open the Study menu and choose quantedOptions › quantedOptions Profile.
On the Connection tab fill in the settings below and click OK. The Profile and Panel & history tabs hold the look settings; the Guide tab explains the panel.
To change settings later, right-click the study on the chart and choose Edit.
Picking it from the Study menu again adds a second copy.

Connection settings

Same on every platform; only the labels differ a little.

The ladder and panel appear within a few seconds. The key is remembered on this machine.

How to tell it works

A ladder of bars on the right of the chart, one per strike, and a small panel in the bottom-left corner. The panel's first line names the chart and the source — ES · from SPX 0DTE 08-19 — then the prices: SPX 6480.25 → ES 6512.00.

The dot in the panel header: green = fresh, amber = a few minutes old, red = stale. Outside market hours the last data is held and the dot stays green.

Update to a new version

Close MotiveWave, delete the old jar from MotiveWave Extensions, copy the new one in, start MotiveWave again. Your settings are kept.

If it doesn't work

What you see	What to do
The study is not in the Study menu	Restart MotiveWave; the reload after copying a jar is not always picked up.
It appears but draws nothing	Open View › Display › Study Log and look for lines starting with `qO Profile`. 403 means the key or an old jar; other errors usually mean the URL.
Two ladders on one chart	You added the study twice. Remove one.
The panel or label reports HTTP 401 or 403	Check the key: copy it again from your plugin page, no spaces at either end. A 403 also happens with an out-of-date plugin file — download the current one.
Nothing draws and there is no error	Check the URL. It must be exactly `https://www.quantedoptions.com/api`. Without `www` the request is redirected and the plugin does not follow redirects.
Bars draw at the wrong prices	The chart has no live last price yet (a fresh chart with no ticks, or a symbol the plugin does not recognise). Wait for a tick, or set the underlying by hand.
The panel says rate limited	You have more charts open than the key allows across all machines. Close a few, or wait a minute.
